On the 13th of February, First Givers Club Signature Workshop saw a gathering of 20 members to join in a conversation on Engaged Philanthropy. Mr. Mohandas Pai Mr. Mohandas Pai, is the Chairperson of the Board of Manipal Global Education Services Pvt. Ltd., an education services provider to institutions worldwide; Advisor to the Manipal Education and Medical Group; and recently, co-founded AArin Capital. In 2000, he along with certain other philanthropists set up the AkshayaPatra Foundation, Bangalore which is currently the world’s largest mid-day meal program for school going children.
Shri Chanchalapathi Dasa Shri Chanchalapathi Dasa, (Former name S. Chandrashekar), was born in 1963 in Bangalore, India. While an undergraduate student in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, he became interested in the message and mission of Srila Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of ISKCON.
Mr. & Mrs. Vittal Mr. Gopal Vittal, Ex-Executive Director, has worked both in India and Asia for Unilever for over 18 years. Mr. Vittal has also served as the Marketing Director at Bharti Airtel, leading the Marketing and Distribution strategy for the group.
Mrs. Ireena Vittal, is a partner in the world’s best known consulting firm, McKinsey & Co. She works across emerging markets (Russia, China, India, South Africa and Brazil) in retail and consumer goods.
Mr. Amit Chandra Mr. Amit Chandra, is Managing Director of Bain Capital Advisors and responsible for the firm’s India initiative. Mr. Chandra has previously served as Managing Director, Board Member & Head of Global Markets & Investment Banking at DSP Merrill Lynch, India’s leading investment bank.
