The second annual summit of the First Givers Club brought together more than 65 members to hear from India’s eminent philanthropists and non-profit leaders on Aug 1st 2011. The theme of the conference this year was Measuring Impact.

Annual Summit 2010

The inaugural summit on July 30, 2010 brought together around 75 members of the club, renowned philanthropists and leading policy makers, covering a range of topics from sharing their personal journeys in giving to defining the importance of private philanthropy in today’s world.

First Givers Club was founded in 2010 with the aim of building a unique and enriching platform of people looking to make a significant contribution to development in India. First Givers Club intends to facilitate the creation of a platform that will enable a meaningful dialogue through a consistent process of shared inputs and suggestions leading to a step change in philanthropy.

Through an annual summit and special events/seminars in the year, the members have a continuous opportunity to learn and interact with experienced philanthropists, dynamic social entrepreneurs and leading policy makers in the field. The Club helps connect donors to social issues, to effective giving strategies, and to other like-minded philanthropists.
